We all carry stories — stories of survival, pain, joy, and redemption. Some are whispered only in prayers, others are shouted from stages, and many remain hidden in silence. But one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is this: testimony is not meant to be kept. It’s meant to be shared.
When I look at my own life — being pulled from the waters three times, surviving the grief of losing my brother and mother within months, and learning to hear God in the silence — I see more than just experiences. I see testimonies. And every testimony has power.
Every time I share my story, I feel God’s strength rise in me. Speaking about what He has done is like reopening a journal of miracles. It reminds me that even in my darkest chapters, God was present.
Revelation 12:11 says, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Our stories are part of our victory.
When I wrote Father Never Leaves Me, my prayer was that someone else would see themselves in my story. Because when we share what God has done, it gives others permission to believe He can do it for them too.
Your story might be the encouragement someone else is waiting for. Your survival might inspire their faith. Your breakthrough might remind them that theirs is coming.
At the heart of it all, testimony is not about us — it’s about Him. When we share what God has done, we shine a light on His goodness, His faithfulness, and His love.
We take the focus off our pain and place it on His power. And in doing so, we give Him the glory He deserves.
Maybe you’ve been hesitant to share your story. Maybe you think it’s too small, too messy, or too broken. But I want you to know this: your story matters.
What God has done in your life — whether it’s a rescue, a healing, a moment of provision, or simply the strength to keep going — can bring life to someone else.
Don’t hide it. Share it. Let your testimony become someone else’s hope.
“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe.” — Psalm 107:2
My book, Father Never Leaves Me, is my testimony in written form. It’s not always neat, but it’s real. And I believe God uses our real, raw stories to show the world His unfailing love.
I invite you not just to read my story, but to share yours. Because together, our testimonies create a chorus that says to the world: God never leaves His children.
